Online fax is now widely available on the Internet, and can be useful for both individuals and businesses as an alternative to the traditional stand alone fax machines that operate over the Standard Telephone Network.

• Online faxing can be much cheaper than traditional faxing, as you will be able to use a web enabled computer and will not have to purchase any additional equipment and supplies.  You will also not have to install a dedicated phone line for your fax.
• You can get toll free fax numbers with many online fax providers, but you do need to check the terms of these as they may only be free sending and receiving faxes with local numbers.
